AlphaGator Logistics is an FMCSA-licensed freight brokerage headquartered in Odenton, Maryland, serving manufacturers, distributors, e-commerce brands, and wholesalers across the Mid-Atlantic and the lower 48. We connect your freight with vetted motor carriers, negotiate competitive truckload rates, and manage every shipment from pickup through proof of delivery.
Whether you need full truckload (FTL) capacity, cost-effective less-than-truckload (LTL) consolidation, time-critical expedited service, or a dedicated lane program for recurring freight, you get one accountable point of contact and proactive communication on every load. We are fully bonded with a $75,000 BMC-84 surety bond and carry contingent cargo and general liability coverage, so your freight is protected from the first shipment.
We also run a separate dispatch practice for motor carriers — owner-operators and small fleets who hold their own authority and want a back office without hiring one. That service is described in full further down this page, including exactly how we keep the two sides of the business apart.
Four brokerage services for shippers, and a dispatch practice for carriers running under their own authority. From a single pallet to a standing weekly lane, we source the right capacity at the right price — and stay on it through delivery.

How dispatch works →
Every account gets a named point of contact who knows your lanes, your preferences, and your freight. No call-center roulette.
An efficient operating model lets us quote rates that compete with the largest national brokers without sacrificing margin or service.
FMCSA Property Broker authority, $75,000 BMC-84 surety bond, contingent cargo, and general liability — in place from day one.
Cloud-based TMS, integrated load boards, real-time tracking, and proactive exception management. You see what we see.
Standardization is what turns one good shipment into a thousand good shipments. Every load runs the same playbook.
You keep your authority, your rate confirmations, and your money. We find the freight, negotiate the rate, and handle the paperwork — so your day is driving, not dialing. Based in Odenton, Maryland, dispatching nationwide lanes.
Your fee is agreed in writing before we book your first load. No sign-up fee, no percentage of your accessorials, and no fee on loads you find yourself. Billed to you directly and itemized every week.
AlphaGator Logistics holds FMCSA property broker authority and also provides dispatch services. Those are two different roles, and we do not blur them. When we dispatch your truck we act as your agent under your operating authority: loads are booked in your MC number, the rate confirmation is issued to you, your insurance is on file, and the broker pays you or your factoring company directly. We never take possession of your load or your money on dispatched freight, and our dispatch fee — billed to you — is the only compensation we take on it.
If we ever place one of our own brokered loads with a truck we dispatch, we tell you in writing before you accept it and we waive one of the two fees. You are never required to take AlphaGator freight, and turning it down has no effect on the loads we bring you.
This is also why a dispatch arrangement is not double brokering. Double brokering is when the carrier that hauls the load is not the carrier named on the rate confirmation. On dispatched freight, the MC number on the rate con is yours, and the truck that shows up is yours.
Headquartered in Odenton, Maryland, we move freight to and from every state in the lower 48 — with deep carrier coverage throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast corridor. Dispatch clients run nationwide.
Common questions from shippers evaluating AlphaGator Logistics as their freight broker, and from carriers considering our dispatch service.
A freight broker is a licensed intermediary that connects shippers who need to move freight with motor carriers who have the capacity to transport it. AlphaGator Logistics negotiates competitive rates, manages load coordination, and ensures compliant on-time delivery — handling the entire logistics process so shippers can focus on their core business.
Yes. AlphaGator Logistics holds active FMCSA Property Broker Authority (MC# 1819235), maintains a $75,000 BMC-84 surety bond as required by federal regulation, and carries contingent cargo liability and general liability insurance.
For shippers: full truckload (FTL) brokerage, less-than-truckload (LTL) brokerage, expedited and time-critical freight, and dedicated lane management programs for recurring freight. For motor carriers: truck dispatching for owner-operators and small fleets operating under their own authority.
Yes. We provide load sourcing, rate negotiation, rate confirmation and paperwork handling, broker setups, check calls and tracking, detention and accessorial claims, and invoicing or factoring coordination for owner-operators and small fleets.
We work as your agent under your own operating authority. Loads are booked under your MC number, the rate confirmation is issued to you, and brokers pay you or your factoring company directly.
No. Double brokering is when a load is re-assigned to a different carrier than the one the paying party contracted with — the MC number on the rate confirmation is not the MC number that hauls the freight. That is the fraud, and it is a serious one.
In a dispatch arrangement none of that happens. The rate confirmation is issued to your MC number, your insurance is on file with the broker, your truck picks the load up, and the broker pays you directly. AlphaGator never takes possession of your load or your money on dispatched freight, and our dispatch fee — billed to you — is the only compensation we take on it. If we ever place one of our own brokered loads with a truck we dispatch, we disclose it in writing before you accept and waive one of the two fees.
Dispatch is billed either as a percentage of linehaul or as a flat weekly rate per truck, agreed in writing before we book your first load. There is no sign-up fee, no fee on loads you source yourself, no forced dispatch, and no long-term lock-in — the agreement cancels on 30 days' written notice.
Active FMCSA operating authority in your own name, a current certificate of insurance, a W-9, a signed dispatch agreement, and a limited power of attorney so we can sign rate confirmations on your behalf. If you factor your invoices, we'll also need your factoring company's notice of assignment. Most carriers are set up and taking their first load within a few business days.
We are headquartered in Odenton, Maryland and serve commercial shippers throughout the United States, with a primary focus on the Mid-Atlantic — Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and the Washington DC metro area. Dispatch clients run nationwide lanes.
